The Town of Ajax is about 40 minutes outside of downtown Toronto. It borders Pickering to the North and West and the town of Whitby to the east.
Ajax is serviced by Durham Region Transit and Go Transit. It has one GO train stop, which provides for a quick and easy commute into downtown Toronto. Highway 401 runs through Ajax with interchanges at Westney and Salem road.
Pat Bayly Square is located on the corner of Bayly and Hardwood. The square will consist of 4 residential towers, ground floor retail/office space, and a water fountain, which becomes a skating rink in the winter!
Ajax is known for its beautiful waterfront. The trail spans about 7km and provides some beautiful scenic routes. Major parks by the waterfront include Rotary Park, Lions Point, and Carruthers Marsh. The town is a bicycle-friendly community that has over 140km of trails!
