The Municipality of Clarington is on the east end of Durham Region. The Municipality contains the communities of Bowmanville, Courtice, New Castle, Orono, and Rural Clarington.
The Municipality is serviced by both Durham Region Transit and GO Transit. The Municipality has plans on extending the lakeshore east line to service both Courtice and Bowmanville.
Many trails span across Clarington that provide you with the ability to run, walk, or cycle. The Great Lakes Waterfront trail runs through Clarington and has over 30km of scenic routes for your enjoyment.
The Municipality has four school boards that span across the communities. It is about a 20 min drive to Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of technology.
