The City of Oshawa borders Whitby to the West, the Township of Scugog to the North, and the Municipality of Clarington to the East.
The city is serviced by Durham Region Transit and GO Transit. Oshawa is accessible by both the 401 and the 407 ETR.
Oshawa is home to the Tribute Communities Centre, where the AHL team, the Oshawa Generals, play. The city has many major economic development plans, such as the RIOCAN Windfields development in North Oshawa. It will contain over 800,000 sq. ft. of big-box retail space and over 1,000 residential condominium and townhome units.
Oshawa has over 100 parks and trails for you to discover. Which provides for great opportunities to run, walk, rollerblade or enjoy some fresh air by the waterfront.
The city is also where the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College Campuses are located. UOIT is reputable for its engineering and computer science programs.
